Her Story

“Starting over sucks. There's no way around it. But nobody ever learned anything from always being the winner.”

Thea's smooth and powerful voice has lent its' talent to many musical projects over the years. Some of these groups garnered awards, as with her work with the Gypsy Jazz band, “Hot Club Edmonton,” which won a Western Canadian Music Award. And some, charted the Earshot Jazz charts for several weeks upon the 2011 Release of her quartet, “Lady and the Tramps.” Now with the March 2025 release of her original, “Still,” Thea is looking to conquer new heights with a stellar group of musicians, and a finely crafted, original sound. Steeped in the roots and rhythm she absorbed while studying and living in Detroit and Chicago, Thea's new material evokes a deep connection to soulful singing, Bluesy riffs, and important messages about getting back up after being knocked down.
